Dengue in Samoa
As of 19 May 2025, a total of 110 confirmed cases of dengue (including one death) have been reported since the declaration of the outbreak on 17 April 2025. The majority of cases (77%) are from Upolu Island. Of the 20 cases that have confirmed serotypes, 85% are DENV-1 and 15% are DENV-2. Dengue in Samoa
On 17 April 2025, the Government of Samoa announced a dengue fever outbreak. A total of 15 confirmed dengue cases, including one death, have been reported since January 2025. All reported cases are residents of the North West (Lauli’i to Mulifanua) villages, Upolu island, Samoa. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on dengue.
