Mpox in Central African Republic

Since the beginning of 2024 and up to 16 August, a total of 263 cases (40 confirmed) have been reported. Of the confirmed cases, 43 percent have been in children under the age of 15 years. Clade I mpox has been isolated from confirmed cases.
